My god, could you stop freaking out about this joke! Of corse we all fucking know that France is NOT a rapist. And I know serious rape is! Chances are if you are defending this 'lovely piece of art' and degrading the people who are sensitive to the topic. You have not dealt with this kind of situation before and do not understand how easy it is to trigger memories of that day or time. France is a fictional character, Yes. It also may be someones FAVORITE fictional character. someone they are attached to, think highly of and believe are well written. So perhaps it doesn't sit to well with them when that character is related to something as horrible as rape.
Side note: It isn't "fangirl" thing to get upset over rape, it's a humanitarian thing.

Perverts and rapists are two different things. And he isn't even really a pervert. Perverts look up people skirts and grope people. France is best known for love and he just tries to show love to people who need it most. Other people just take it the wrong way. He has even said in the anime that love should not be forced upon others. Does he force England or China or any other characters into sexual activities? No, he doesnt. So how bout you get some common sense and pay attention to what you're watching before you assume me, or any other people, don't have common sense cuz you just might get told off. And I apologize if I am coming off as a rude person, but this point needs to be made known throughout the fandom.
