Painted this while I was bored at Ponycon on Saturday - sold her on Sunday! I'm kinda sad I don't have a nice scan of her as she turned out nice, I think. I might paint something similar in the future.Red shading w/ black muddy texturing is kinda cool. Reminds me to stop defaulting to cool shadows.

Watercolours and ink! Having quality paints and paper helps a lot - after that it's just practice!

I actually found out that water colors aren't really that hard I guess? You just have to have again, good paints and paper, which the paint was okay for a while but I got some new paper that I think is effecting the quality in a good way. You also kinda have to know what the hell your doing in some aspects of it, plus you kinda have to let it flow because water colors are almost always gonna be messy.
