Description
I'm inspired by a recent read of Vulcan's Heart Star Trek novel, and a rewatching of some old moviesSpock/Saavik isn't one of the more popular Star Trek pairings for Spock, but surprise surprise! it is my favourite. I like to think that in the Prime Universe, they ended up together. <3
And Robin Curtis Saavik..

The Next Generation episode Sarek kinda hints that they possibly did as Picard tells Riker he met Sarek at his 'son's wedding'. The only living child of Sarek's at that point in time was Spock, as Sybok was gone.
So whether to Saavik or someone else, Spock was, canonically, married, at least for a time.

This is one of my absolute -- if not the most -- favorite! It inspired me for a scene in one of my fics.

Hey, do you do commissions? Because I'd love another Spock and Saavik!

Hello! Thanks for the nice comments but sadly I don't have time these days for art and commissions , I hope you soon find what you're looking for

I feel as if I had read he was supposed to have knocked her up on Genesis, and that is why she was left behind on Vulcan in IV, but they left that out. I could be mis-remembering tho.

No, that's true. It was the storyline; in fact, Shatner and Nimoy talked about it in their commentary for STIV. Shatner even hoped they would go back to that storyline, although he didn't include it in STV.

I always thought there was no way that could happen, because she was already pregnant with Kirk's grandbaby

I always liked that one too. Especially since it's even somewhat cannon, depending on how you interpret some of the events in the third movie.

And how Shatner, Nimoy, Roddenberry, and others embraced it.

There's a deleted scene in the script for STAR TREK IV where it's explicitly stated why Saavik doesn't go back to Earth with the gang; she was pregnant with Spock's child as a result of the pon farr in III. I don't know if that scene was shot or not, but that was why she stays behind on Vulcan and watches the HMS Bounty fly off.
Later on, in the early drafts of STAR TREK VI, Saavik was to be the traitor character; it was changed to Kim Cattrall's Valeris when Gene Roddenberry started trying (yet again) to undermine Nicholas Meyer. So Saavik had two possible destinies. She could have been the mother of Spock's child, or she could have been the one to sell Kirk and McCoy out to the Klingons. I'll leave it to you to decide which was the better outcome, or if leaving her fate ambiguous was the right way to go.

It was intended, of course. I mean , how far else could pon farr go? lol, thank you.

They never really did touch on this again. Once the HMS Bounty flew off from Vulcan, no one really cared about Saavik again.

yeah, I think it's a shame. There are several things I like more about the movies than the TV series, and Saavik is one of them.
Thanks for watching, by the way

you're welcome, like the style. Especially since it's Star Trek lol. More of a TNG guy myself.

Ah yes, I grew up with Picard amd crew myself. TNG is the first show that introduced me to the franchise, but only a little later the TV station began airing TOS and TNG simultaneously
