uwa. Β . Β . Β gomen gomen for intruding, but usually artist's use bases to improve !! it's how the best artists are made---! It's super cool! Like, it teaches you how clothes move, and what things should look like. Templates & bases can be a defining learning curve for all artists, of all ages & experiences !!! it's super cool Β !Β
especially with art styles so defined like Rebecca Sugar's ! Since some artists want it to look exactly the same, and some can't do it just on their own ( which, most artists cant, its super hard to do someone else's art style !!! ) so it's nice to use a base in that sense ' v' ) /Β
I just think that....bases are good ! and it's no good to tell artist's its bad >:'OΒ
Because, in some cases, maybe not in this one, it can be a learning curve. Where maybe something clicks, and they learn how to draw that pesky pose, or how a skirt fits a certain body part! Would you want to deny an artist that ? Sure, they will learn it---- but it could take weeks, months, YEARS even !!Β

That's your point of view compared to mine/ opinion. i think you should try to draw based on a picture and not trace.if you can't do "it" than continue trying . it's called practice and experience which makes the artist. Bases didn't exist at first only step by step drawing books but i guess it's similar. I never said her art was bad or anything . i was giving an opinion on something so don't get offended. I said i think, not everyone think so if you think it's good then that's perfectly fine.
