The Guardians met Zero, before they were fugitives, on there way back from protecting a princess and prince up in the mountains. They got dragged into protecting his very rare pet, Zipper from the "Bandit Trio: The Night Brothers"

Zero's parents are millionaires and therefore Zero was left to play alone in the resort hotel they own. His home is Thunder Island, and before the Guardians came he never left.
Zero is fun-loving and high-spirited. A male Hi-chan some have said. He has very high values, and extreme morales. He's not very liked by Rai, (who is SURE he's into guys) Fuuji and Zero are best friends despite what you may think, she really cares about Zero and treats him..remotely well...
But watch out when he's tired, his dark-side'll scar you.
