The only way to stop a disease that's spreading out of control is to destroy everything infected - even if it's an entire planet. And Nigel was the one deciding whether to destroy the entire diseased planet.
His snot-covered finger hovered above the slot.
The voices of his fellow GKND operatives echoed through his mind: Chad, Infinity, 9L, Vine, Nominal…
"Adulthood is a plague that needs to be eradicated…"
"Earth is your home, think about your family… your friends…"
"Don't question your orders. The GKND knows what's best for children everywhere…"
Was Nigel about to save the world or destroy it? His finger trembled above the slot.
It felt like there was no right decision for him to make. Someone would get hurt either way. And no matter what, his decision was going to change the fate of childhood forever...
