Critique for No Mercy Folder:
This is an interesting shot, I truly thought it was a photomanipulation but as I looked closer I realized it was just a bizarre form of nature! I have to say I am not a fan at all of dA watermarks as I feel it really distracts from the image and detail, and really subtracts from the overall viewing experience. Nonetheless, I do like the clarity this image holds, it is certainly an interesting subject. If presented with the opportunity again I would suggest utilizing the rule of thirds a little more, and maybe getting a little closer so we can see even more detail! I like the shallow use of depth of field as it makes the viewer focus much more on the subject you want us to focus on.

Well, Indeed it's an interesting shoot, and I'm not gonna repeat keylove, because I pretty much agrees...
Just some other details I would like to add: It's way too ordinary to take flower shoots from above, and in most situations, your shoots will turn out to be a bit amateurish... So perhaps, next time you finds a flower like this, get some dirt on you knees and get down to the level with the flower, it will give the shoot a much more dramatic effect.
But very good eyes, one of the things making a good photographer is (at least according to me) the ability to spoot the good shoot, excracting the speciels from the ordinary, bringing the exordinary to life. This flower is indeed a good found.
