They should have just looked up a tutorial online instead of directly asking you. It seems kind of unprofessional. Maybe they are worried if they send you the wrong type of sound link it won't translate well or that all the voices will have different sound quality to them?
But, yeah, I totally understand. Have you made a journal about it? I may have missed it. If you do why don't you put something like "only experienced voice actors" or something along those lines. Although, I think more experienced voice actors may want money or something of the sort in return??? I hope it works out though. It sounds really frustrating and it sucks that you have to start over. Do you still have some of the original voice actors?
