it's worst when asriel says that the player was not actually all that good

The game never actually says that Chara was the player. It tells you to "name the fallen child," but that doesnt have any bearing on you or Frisk. The game only wants you to BELIEVE you named yourself and/or Frisk...

If you beat asr-- the final boss go all the way to the start of the game and you can here "him" saying how the *player*B was probably not the best of people and how the *player* hated humanity Β

Except it didnt say that you, the player, hated humanity. It said that the *Fallen Child* did. The Fallen Child that you NAMED at the beginning.

The true name for the fallen child is Chara. If you named the fallen child that in the beginning it says "the true name" because what you're doing is naming the fallen child. Asriel was the fallen child's brother, and he's saying that the fallen child, Chara, was a heartless jerk who hated humanity, and that Asriel was projecting nice feelings that weren't there because he was so lonely and desperate.

Yeah, that's it. You're naming Chara in the beginning, it's just made to look like you're naming Frisk to trick you until the end. Asriel's talking about their evil ex-sibling, not you.

Chara a little fuck up tho. Chara hated humans but only bad thing he did to monsters was make a bad pie. innocent to monster evil to humans (unless you choice genocide then your just and asshole)

The game technically didn't name Frisk or you, the player, by the name given to the Fallen Child.
However, from a design standpoint, the game was still made to feel like it was speaking to the player directly.
