Description
I finally have a full version of Eyre's world map!! Honestly I wouldn't even know where to begin guessing how long I spent on this, but I am SO HAPPY I can call it finished (at least mostly xD-- there are lots of locations to fill in but the terrain itself is done until I decide to add new continents or such later on).This upload displays labels for the continents and the major cities within each region. The cities shown above are not the only cities on Eyre, just the largest or most populated. I decided to do separate versions of the map, because listing all the different population centers or landmarks in one image was becoming... intensely crowded @@;;;;;;
I will link the other versions at the bottom of the description, so if you're curious about other smaller towns, or the names of things like the reefs or forests, please check out the other uploads! <3

UPDATES:
11/15/18 :: Added a bunch of info and some temporary inspiration images for each region (for use until we're able to get some proper art references drawn up)! Still need to update the last couple areas but hopefully the info provided will be enough for now <3

Detailed Information (Climate/Population/Terrain/Regional Lore/Etc)
- [Basic Region Info]
[- KYENDI -]
Inspiration images: sta.sh/2114ayf46mmf
Artist's note: Kyendi has a sort of Asian feel to its landscape and buildings, except for the western reaches that thematically follow more of Faerindell's European style fantasy.
Racial Presence: Kyunru [High] | Elnins | Humans | Sylvans
Population Density: Fairly populated. Most people live in the larger cities or in settlements near the shorelines, with only very few small towns more inland due to the density of the forests and the high concentration of faefolk living in them.
Border Policies: Open. Kyendi is generally welcoming to all other races.
Notables: They say that the region of Kyendi must be the oldest of all the lands of Eyre because it feels almost as if the trees are quietly watching you, and the very earth you walk upon bears the memory of a thousand journeys.
The sprawling jungles of Kyendi are perilous if traveled alone due to the danger of wandering into a patch of Overwild territory and becoming lost, but this also means that Kyendi is one of the best regions on Eyre for those treasure hunters seeking ruins of Dusk to explore. It is a bit of a wild region, and much of the land is considered haunted by fey creatures of all manners.
Despite what you might guess from looking at the map, the islands that wrap around Elenion and the northern region of Faerindell are truly lands belonging to Kyendi. However, the distance from the main kyunru populace and the interposing expanse of sylvan land has led the western reaches to adopt more of sylvan culture and architecture than anywhere else in Kyendi.- [Major Cities]
- Sulapei : This city is probably better described as a collection of smaller towns in close proximity. Sulapei spans almost the entire northern bank of the Mistmere, and extends well into the fog shrouded foothills of the gently sloping Rajasana mountains.
- Eiloen : The city of Eiloen is the capital of Kyendi. It is located at the edges of the shadow of Kyendi's eldertree, but is connected to many smaller towns ranging the shores of the nearby lake and the lower reaches of the great tree. Eiloen is very close to both the endless night escapades of Silveil and the mellow sleepy days of Palu'au, and has a healthy population of people who live here in order to have easy access to either place without having to actually live there (because have you seen the prices of real estate there, good gods).
- Ilrian : Nestled atop one of the floating Sunshard Isles, Ilrian is the nearest rival to Il'durahn when it comes to the pursuit of knowledge. In fact there is somewhat of a long standing rivalry between the two similarly named cities fueled by their differing approaches to the employment of magic. Where Il'durahn focuses mainly on the use of mana as a pure form of living energy, Ilrian is the foremost authority on the use of the solid crystallized form of mana (anima shards) as a source of power. Ilrian has a lot of trade traffic with the airships of Weldwick due to their reliance on certain types of anima that have inherent floating properties.
- The Silvergrace Sanctuary
[- VAHL D'SARI -]
Inspiration images: (None just yet)
Racial Presence: Moro [High] | All other races are present in more or less equal amounts.
Population Density: Sparse.
Border Policies: Closed. Vahl D'sari is extremely dangerous, and the general populace is encouraged to stay away.
Notables: The land surrounding the nightmarish gate to Dusk is crawling with monsters both fey and mephitic in nature. The eldertree of Vahl D'sari is especially swarming with fey apparitions.- [Major Cities]
- Nhovrasul: This city hovers at the border of Vahl D'sari and is exclusively inhabited by people associated with the Hunter's Guild. Nhovrasul is built into the skeleton of a colossal dragon, and here hunters train to kill the monstrosities that stalk the dark reaches of Eyre. While historically the Hunter's Guild has been stubbornly exclusive, there are rumors that they may need to be less selective if there is to be hope of stemming the growing number of creatures escaping the borders of Vahl D'sari.
[- FAERINDELL -]
Inspiration images: sta.sh/2dyvjj2axsy
Artist's note: In general Faerindell's buildings and landscape lean more toward "ye olde fairy tale"/traditional fantasy style.
Racial Presence: Sylvan [High] | Humans | Kyunru | Elnins
Population Density: Fairly populated. Faerindell is a beautiful area, but it is mostly inhabited by sylvans, who tend toward owning large chunks of land and not wanting to share. The good thing is that the sylvans commit nearly the entirety of their verdant land to farming and are not shy about exporting their robust crops to the rest of Eyre.
Border Policies: Open, mostly. Sylvans living in the countryside don't mind visitors, but dislike people trying to move onto land that they own (unless you want to work for them). Major cities or larger towns, however, welcome new inhabitants with little fuss.
Notables: Most of all open land in Faerindell is used for farming, and the harvests from these farms accounts for over half of Eyre's food production. The forests of Faerindell are fae-touched and bear a sense of peace and tranquility.- [Major Cities]
- Elenion: The capital city of Elenion is nestled right next to the eldertree of Faerindell, which has spread its influence to the surrounding forests. The lands around Elenion are in a perpetual state of floral explosion (a nightmare to those born with pollen allergies!). The trees are primarily pink in foliage (though there are always a few regular ol green leafed trees mixed in). Underneath the tree tops however, a species of symbiotic flowers is often found attached to the lower boughs. These groups of flowers, called faerie shrouds, bloom year-round in a riot of colors.
[- SILVEIL -]
Inspiration images: sta.sh/2uic11ub40b
Artist's note: Silveil is pretty much the Vegas of Eyre xD
Racial Presence: All races are present in more or less equal amounts
Population Density: Very high within Silveil City, sparse everywhere else.
Border Policies: Open. People come and go from Silveil every day.
Notables: It is always night in Silveil, no matter what time of day it actually is. Because of this, the region has become place where people go to for nighttime activities (ie gambling, "companionship", black market perusal, etc). It's a little seedy, but Silveil City is known for being safe enough to gamble away the hours without worrying about going home with a knife in your back on top of being penniless. That's not to say the Thieves Guild that rules the region won't steal the gold from your teeth before you leave, but honestly what do you expect.
The deep forests of Silveil are altogether something different. The eternal night here has given the forests a dreamlike quality, full of a myriad of bioluminescent flora and fauna. The glow and winking lights of fireflies and mushrooms almost distracts from the secretive and dangerous nature of the things that hide in the shadows-- almost. It is a foolhardy person indeed who strays from the well marked paths through the forests of Silveil.
The Starlake is an unusual phenomenon in that it contains Silveil's eldertree. The tree, a dark mass of branches and starlight, grows down into the water from beneath the base of Silveil City. When viewed from the bank across from the city, it almost looks like a reflection on the water of a tree that isn't there. The "stars" that glitter in in the boughs of the submerged tree are actually a tiny species of jellyfish that exists only in Silveil. They are mostly harmless but poisonous to eat, and so were left to proliferate undisturbed in the depths where they create a vision of starlight captured in the water.- [Major Cities]
- Silveil City: Far and away the largest city in the small region. When you say you're going to Silveil, people just assume you mean Silveil City. It is everything you would ever imagine about a city ruled by the Thieves Guild. Debauchery, revelry, and gambling at your fingertips, and maybe a little bit (a lot?) of regret to follow after.
[- PALU'AU ISLANDS -]
Inspiration images: sta.sh/21pzxbtbq76h
Racial Presence: Elnins [Dominant], All other races are present in more or less equal amounts
Population Density: Fairly high. Palu'au Islands are considered the best resort location for people who don't want to travel all the way to Ealei or specifically want to tan themselves into leather on the pristine beaches.
Border Policies: Open. People come and go on vacation all the time. There is also a good chunk of wealthy individuals who spend their entire winters here because the Overwilds rarely appear in this region.
Notables: Tropical vacation islands run by fluffy elnins pretty much. The bordering Rainbow Reef is a popular place to dive and fish, and the very southern edge of the Deepruin Reef is actually pretty tame where it nears the shores of Palu'au. People looking for the adventure of ruin diving without the risk of... well, sea monsters... will dive near here. Who cares if the ruins are in shallow water and picked clean, it's always a thrill to imagine yourself a dashing explorer!- [Major Cities]
- Islasera: About as gorgeous as a beach paradise city can be. Islasera is full of languid indulgence, where the daily grind consists of finding a spot to nap in the sun and wondering when you should get up to go swimming. Also umbrella drinks. Friggin umbrella drinks everywhere.
[- BELLMORIL -]
Inspiration images: sta.sh/2g2b2owwpd4
Racial Presence: All races are present in more or less equal amounts
Population Density: Sparse in all regions outside of the capital city. There are one or two sizable towns but that's about it.
Border Policies: Open.
Notables: People generally go to Bellmoril to visit the capital of Il'durahn. The smaller mountain towns are usually very close knit and are not exactly kind or welcoming to travelers.- [Major Cities]
- Il'durahn: A city of academics with a focus on the use of mana as a form of energy to fuel magic. Sigaldry, elemental channeling, celestial dominion, and other such magics are taught here. Things like alchemy and eldritch invocation, however, which require the use anima and certain other catalysts for spellwork, are seen as an inferior method of magecraft and are not studied here (if inquired about, you'd be told to "Go to Ilrian for that rubbish").
[- ENMIR -]
Inspiration images: sta.sh/21nltob7zw8j
Racial Presence: Humans [Dominant] | Kyunru
Population Density: Middling. Most people tend to stay away from the swampy reaches of the Shaedmoor, but the large stretch of eastern wetlands referred to as the Cindermarsh is actually quite lovely. There are many small towns and villages scattered throughout Enmir, but there are no major cities established aside from the city of Salva.
Border Policies: Open. However, due to being fairly isolated, the people in Enmir can tend be a bit superstitious and distrustful of fancypants outsiders.
Notables: Enmir is full of valuable alchemic and herbal resources, and is known for developing some of Eyre's most powerful medicinal concoctions. (Also its most powerful hallucinogens, but no one talks about that). There are two major regions within Enmir: The mild and somewhat humid tracks of open marshland called the Cindermarsh, and the darker, more sinister swamps of the Shaedmoor where the rivers are choked with muck and gloom.- [Major Cities]
- Salva: This town is near enough to Enmir's eldertree to take advantage of the abundance of mana, but not so close as to come near the menacing borders of the Shaedmoor. Salva has slowly become somewhat of a trade port and destination for people seeking health treatments or rare materials and herbs found only Enmir's marshy environs. Most people only pass through here, and the townsfolk are almost entirely born and raised from marshfolk.
[- EALEI -]
Inspiration images: sta.sh/21ywshaa3gxp
Racial Presence: Ieldi [Dominant] | Elnins | All other races are present in more or less equal amounts
Population Density: Very high. Ealei is probably the most populated region on Eyre.
Border Policies: Open. Come on in.
Notables: Ieldi are a friendly lot and encourage everyone to come live in Ealei where they can fuss over you like a mother hen.- [Major Cities]
- Nalnalo: (Capital)
- Skyhaven:
- Port Pthalo:
[- ZEVIJA-]
Inspiration images: sta.sh/21b2gzv3tpud
Racial Presence: All races are present in more or less equal amounts.
Population Density: Sparse outside of cities.
Border Policies:
Notables:- [Major Cities]
- Hadaven: (Capital)
[- AHZA -]
Inspiration images: sta.sh/22dyx6o7qz6v
Racial Presence: Moro [High] | All other races are present in more or less equal amounts.
Population Density: High, but spread out.
Border Policies:
Notables:- [Major Cities]
- Bejali: (Capital)
- Weldwink:
- Termina:
- Devara:
[- STRYNHALDE -]
Inspiration images: (None atm-- just think winter wonderland!)
Racial Presence: All races are present in more or less equal amounts.
Population Density: Sparse outside of cities.
Border Policies:
Notables:- [Major Cities]
- Iorumund: (Capital)
- Skolvigaard:
- [Major Cities]

Map of Landmarks and Points of Interest (ongoing project):
Will likely have other map versions available eventually, like one that shows where the Overwilds are located, or where Minor Towns and Settlements are, Elemental Leylines, etc
