Okay. So, I love the character of Octavia (from Helluva Boss)- in fact, she's hands down my favorite character in the VivsieVerse. And while I admire her default design, I found myself thinking that it's a little unfair that she's a near carbon copy of her dad, design-wise, as an owl. So I decided to even the playing field a bit. Rather than keeping her as an owl, I decided to make her a raven, due to the fact that her dad, Stolas, while most commonly is depicted as an owl, is sometimes also depicted as a raven. So I decided to make his daughter a raven instead.

And with that choice made, I found myself then opening a massive can of worms by pulling inspiration from the character of Raven from Teen Titans, the Collector from the Owl House, the Pokemon Umbreon, and a slight nod to Sheena from Tales of Symphonia, all through the design of her outfit and facial marks. Her head and hair is heavily inspired by My Hero Academia's character Fumikage Tokoyami, while also being shaped like a quaver (eighth note), to pay homage to her name. I tried to keep a goth look to her as a whole, but also attempted to modernize/urbanize it. As the design came together, she turned out to lean more heavily into a modern day ninja at the same time (because who can deny that Octavia is an adorable wannabe ninja as far as skills- or lack thereof- goes?) Her shuriken is specially forged from her own quills through the use of her starfire, and is also music notes

I would also imagine her signature move being a ranged attack named "Vantablack Vector", which allows her to manipulate her own, or any other surrounding shadows into arrows that pierce and skewer her target.
