Thanx, I had no idea. It does seem a little odd though...all the other shots are fashion shots & mine is surfing, doesn't quite make sense, but its all good I guess.

Definetely all good. I suppose anything with a commercial feel qualifies: models, sports, cars, clothing, etc.
The commercial photography section of DA is 80% fashion though. I guess that makes your shot stand out even more.

This is one of the most intense surf photos I've seen. He is not even carving, it's like he is punishing that wave!! 
Weird things seem to happen when resizing photos, but this version looks very sharp, very good to me. Glad you submitted this one

u could say Andy punishes waves & his opponents when he surfs.
If u look closely, u can see these verticle lines. Probably because I had sharepned it a little before I applied my new sharpening technique.
I need to go back & start fresh.

While there are a lot of things about this photo that makes it great, to me, the best part is definition of his muscles. I just can't get over them. Its just amazing to me, to see how his entire body is working in sync... all the while making the ride look entirely effortless of course..
Hands down, my favorite from you (so far).
...and all I can think about is how badly I want to be able to get shots like this.

well, maybe I was just a little, but there is more going on than meets the surface. I just learned a new sharpening technique that u do to the Hi-Res versions & I'm kinda testing it out. I really like the results so far, but I do notice that the low res version here looks a little funny, like it got stretched or something. The print from the Hi-Res version came out sick, I was stoked.
This was one of the first sessions that I shot with my new Canon 20D & I killed it, scored a whole bunch of sick shots of Andy. I could throw these up all day long if I wanted to, but that's not what I'm here for.
