Are the burst sequences on the 40D dope or what! Even on RAW it kicks - fast...
(Got a new 40D for xmas.. so I know the joy.)

Congrats on your new 40D.
Yeah, the sequence bursts are really fast.
I usually like to shoot in large JPEG, the sequences are faster and they don't appear to lag during long sequences.
I shot a tube sequence in RAW yesterday on the westside and the seq topped out at 19 frames. The seq fell a couple frames short of what I would like. When shooting long seq in RAW, I will have to try and wait for the best action before holding down the trigger.

the 600mm prime IS f/4L cause that thing costs a fortune and is quite a beast of a lens so heavy
