Peter Mel and Barney are both cool guys that charge...Barney is actually staying at the Volcom house right now, I just seen him out surfing Backdoor yesterday.

Wow, those guys SURE get around.... I just got to casualy know them by them showing up where I surf... I did not even know who they were at the time.. I just remember seeing Peter at Freeline alot. (That is my fav shop in Capitola Area). The second time I knew who they were. Peter is one of the most honest easy going guys I met surfing... Barney was quite but was busylooking to the west for the next wave, while Peter and I talked in the line-up. Let Barney borrow my fins to catch a few . (bodyboarding at the time.) Peter had one of the then new Insane Fiberglass bodyboards and I was eager to see them try it. It was a good day to be at 26th Ave.
