You use the SPL housing yeah? Do you have the full manual housing?

I've been using SPL. I don't know what you mean by full manual housing, but I do shoot in manual mode....but my brain is on auto.

By full manual, I mean able to change all the camera settings without going inshore and doing it. I used my friends SPL housing, the yellow one and all I could do was shoot AV and then just change the aperture, didn't really like that because I'm use to shooting manual.

That water housing, which I just sold, was like 4 or 5 years old. It did not allow me to review my shots in the water, but it did allow me to adjust my f-stop and shutter speed. When shooting in the water, your lighting is tricky...it goes from being really bright to being low lit, very fast. The way I was shooting with that housing will change as I get a new housing with more features and controls. I will take what I have learned and try to modify it. But yeah, I was shooting full manual.

Do you know any sites I could read up on about underwater photography? Techniques with housings, or does that all depend on each housing.

I tried to vote as well, but i got a cookie problem in all three of my browsers (safari, firefox, and IE).

Yeah, I've been slowing down a little on my submissions on DA while I experiment with some other sites. Images on Magicseaweed [link] seem to really get a lot of views, plus you can vote, comment and fav, its pretty kool.
