A cover for a new book called "The Shield". Solicitation and final colors can be found here: [link] Also the final art was another collaboration with Jeremy Roberts. The art shown in the solicitation isn't final art, there's background coming. I had no synopsis of the story and we planned on doing a montage in the background that shows off story elements. That was ok with me since I had to do two covers that day.Related content

Nice, I like the inking style that you've been working with lately. One thing though, either this guy's left hand has a thumb that's too small or finger that are too big, it's nit-picking but I did notice. Keep it up though, I love your recent stuff.

The Shield reminds me of Captain America in his costume and in his story. I'll definitely take a look at it when it comes out.

Great work...the colours that I've seen are lovely...just slightly heavy for my tastes...I would have liked to have seen a bit more of your facial structure peeking through the digital paints...but I guess it wouldn't be a colaboration if there was just the Manapul in there. Thumbs up man!

The Shield is one of the MLJ / Archie Comics heroes, dating back to the 1940's. I think he appeared around the same time Captain America did.

I saw the color version of this first at Newsarama. I was surprised when I saw it was something you drew when logging on here. The colors don't do it justice IMHO.
