I just did this as a late response to a prompt I asked about a while back on Tumblr. I'll just copy paste what I wrote in my description there to here b/c I am lazy:
“N-NO!! PERIDOT!!”
Sorry this took so long to finish, but I said I would do it! So here, have some angsty Lapidot… in which where I killed Peridot.. I am so sorry, I feel so bad.. haha~ ;n;
Also I know gems don’t bleed and normally they just go poof, but I added the blood for dramatic effect, (she was stabbed or something) and the rising digital pixels were to show her body fading away, and I may have had digimon on the mind a lot while doing it (also I don’t draw angst normally, so don’t worry).

Oh... my living... God. This is so amazing and sad, how dare you?! How dare you create so much perfect and angst?! Anyways, this is awesome, I love the way Lapis is clutching onto Peridot like that, and the digital pixels is perfect, that she's disappearing and Lapis is trying to keep her with her. And Lapis looks great as well, her expression and her tears are perfect, this whole thing is perfect! The colors and the blood effect is seriously great and dramatic, not to mention what got to me was seeing Peri's Gem completely shattered like that. The paleness of the background really makes the whole thing even sadder, it shows just how bleak Lapis' life will be without Peridot. Gorgeous work, and sorry for not seeing this sooner.

Ohhh no it's all digital, but it's with the pencil brush and it's very convincing b/c I used to work with pencil a lot when I would do stuff traditionally (so I just applied how I used to do it here digitally b/c it's exclusively how I draw). Also thank you very much! <3

Hehe I revel in the suffering a bit, it amuses me B) sometimes a little bit of angst is a good feeling, just for the sake of emotional depth! I don't do much angst though, but it is fun once in a while.
