Description
I love this new medieval chimeric science experiment Pokemon gone wrong. Type: Null is also an awesome name (makes me think of an error message), and I want one on my team. I just had to do a quick sketchy drawing of it.Related content

I'm confused, what is this Pokemon? And what's its back story? Name? Type?

It is the name, and it would be a lot quicker to link you to bulbapedia than it would be for me to explain everything lol

I've been with Pokemon since Gen One and Type:Null has to be the strangest one I've ever seen.
I wonder what Type:Null's backstory is.

So far from what I've seen, it's more likely an amalgam of Zygarde 10% (you can see the hexagons on it's neck spikes too, and we know Zygarde is going to play a heavy role in the storyline) and what sort of looks like elements of Arceus (the spikes around it's neck are like the spike ring around Arceus' waist). It was said that it was designed to rival "Pokemon of mythology", and so far the only one with that literal description in it's flavour text is Arceus ("It is told in mythology that this PokΓ©mon was born before the universe even existed"). An Eevee or it's forms wouldn't be strong enough to rival a "pokemon of mythology" which in any case would be a legendary. I am curious about it's other features and where they were taken from though (legs, tail, purple scale parts).
I mean I have no idea how they get these genes, but since it was created most likely via alchemy (also heavy storyline element/theme), they probably did what they could to synthesize what they knew to match these powerful, important, legendaries (maybe not directly taking these genes since like, how the heck would they get them? Zygarde yes, but Arceus? maybe....?). Also Gladion (blonde haired edgelord kid) has a Type: Null and is very shaky? something weird is going on with that, and I don't know if these two things are related. Anywho I am pretty sure it's a bit more deep than a mutated eevee (I know it's a very VERY popular pokemon, but I think they need something a bit stronger to fight this quoted "mythological" pokemon. I see some people seeing the body resembling Umbreon tho, but the same could be said for Absol too possibly).

I feel like it would probably have a generic animal cry (if it can even make a sound at all). I think the name "type: null" kind of implies it doesn't actually have a "true" name, just a given name that's kind of not really a name at all (it seems more automated, like an coded error message. No actual person would give it a name like that if it wasn't like, a name signifying a trial with the potential that there were many other attempts or possibly other failed attempts in the past). Also because it was synthesized it probably wouldn't say it's "name" either, haha.

i love your art, dont get me wrong, and im not trying to be "that guy" but the green spots on his helmet spikes were hexigons. i mean doesnt seem like a big deal but there might be a connection to him and zygarde because of this detail so something to concider on future drawings. still love this pokemon, glad you drew him

You could just say "I think those circles on its spikes are actually hexagons" and that would've sufficed just fine.
Yeah it's hard when the picture was super small, i couldn't really see the details, despite constantly staring at it (I blame my bad vision).
