Description This is Chun-Li from Street Fighter, practicing her Kikouken on a beach...somewhere.
Β
The head was taken from Chun-Li (Marvel vs Capcom version) Posed in XPS, and touched up in Blender to allow usage in DAZ Studio.
The body is Morphed/Textured (from a base Genesis) and separately posed in DAZ Studio.
We did our best to shape the body to fit a Chun-Li Street Fighter IV appearance.
Lighting and Rendering done in DAZ Studio 4.6
Post-work in Adobe Photoshop.Β

It's created using an object in DAZ studio and then using photoshop. As far as I know there is no Kikouken prop.

Great artwork!Β  LOL!Β  Chun-Li is a fave of mine but i think the physics of the pose is incorrect,Β  Chunny is unleashing a powerfull force, Her Kikouken should be pushing her backwards,Β  So the twin dust lines should be in front of her instead of in back!Β  Still good stuff here but she should be carefull or she'll tag some poor surfer!Β  Yeow!

Haha, Yeah I was thinking more than the Kikouken was causing a shockwave kind of effect, which is why I decided to put the dust behind her. I actually never thought of it pushing Chun-Li back.Β

I thought thats what you were trying to show,Β  but yeah like Ken and Ryu's ShoryukensΒ  their a manifestation of their chi/willpower but they have to thrust it foward to launch it(unless they use the stationary Super-Blast!)it occured to me such explosive force must have some kickback!

Realistically yes, but in the world of Street Fighter things work a little differently. At least I assume so as even in the games there are no kickback to the attacks, even though I think it would look cooler if there were.Β

Truth!Β  Ken and Ryu are more than strong enough to hold themselves to counter-force,Β  Chun-Li is strong no doubt, but her body mass is nowhere near as great as theirs,Β  she doesn't have the advantage of bulk to help hold her form still,Β  I believe if she unleashed enough force it could conceviebly move her back a bit alas(but i haven't forgotten those mighty legs of hers!Β  She wouldn't Β scoot back TOO far! Ha!)

Does this kind of work allow you to animate the model?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ManbeastMan In reply to Keijn [2014-08-21 21:30:34 +0000 UTC]

DAZ studio allows for a variety of actions. If by animations you mean create .gifs or videos with moving models then yes. If you meant to pose (ie: move an arm or leg) XNA/XPS models in DAZ studio then no. As far as we know there is no way to animate XNA/XPS models in DAZ studio.Β

Interesting. Real cool work. But could you give some more details? You could add, in the description, what program you use, how did you thought about this pose, etc. For people that are seeing it for the first time. ^_^

Sure thing, I'll add a better description.Β
