Description Phew.. this took a lot longer than I imagined! Many, many evenings..

Anyway, I'm pleased to present "Evolution coloured" as part of my rainbow collection.

I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

Hope you like it!

This looks like a spinning top, like you use as a kid because of the sense of depth you'd created with the figures moving away from the star. ย Lovely!

Thank you. I'll keep doing the rainbow mandalas.. as they are very popular.. as well as b&w and perhaps a normal colouring too.. Time permitting

beautiful! reminds me of some work by M.C. Escher, his "Curl Up", the pillars in your drawing look to me somewhat like the curl up creatures. I have a particular fondness for them, and did a 3-d reproduction of that work while in art school.
I also love the colors and the 6-pointed stars!
great work as always!

I'll have to look up Escher. I've heard of his name but I'm not really familiar with his work. A lot of Deviants have mentioned him in relation to my work. Glad you like this one.... I got a bit lost in the drawing of it.. didn't know how it was turning out. But, it looked okay when it was finished so I submitted it. If you could see the amount of paper I recycle when I make mistakes or just don't like how a drawing is turning out..

i like the design and the colors you used .. but i wouldve done the coloring a bit different to create a more organised pattern, but that's just me

Hi Hadas.. I keep coming back.. Had a bit of a break recently as my arm/elbow was very, very sore. However, I finally had the operation on my arm/elbow the other day. Seems everything went ok.. so I'm in recovery now.. BUT! I can already draw I'll be taking it slow but I'm so pleased that I can hold a pen already! Hope you and your family are well too

Dear Jim
how wonderful to hear your operation went well.
I deal now with a very problamatic shoulder and one of the suggestions is an operation but I realy try to avoid it so I'm trying everything els. actualy, everybody (doctors as well) say to me that the best cure right now for me is a good long rest from work (conducting and playing) and this is exactly what I'm going to do now on my summer vacation so I hope things will get better
at least I can (usually) draw and that's a great comfort.
take it easy and get well.
waiting for your next lovely works

Thanks very much for your kind words Hadas. I'm making a great recovery. I'm already reducing my pain meds.. which is great news.. I've had to take these drugs daily for the past couple of years. I also have no pain when using pencils so I'm ready to attempt a more "natural" colouring. Sorry to hear about your shoulder.. take it easy and keep the drawings coming
