Hmmm, not easy to explain, and I don't have MB3D here...
You should check the average/max iteration under the statistic tab, then put a value between these in the coloring tab iteration fog setting.
I might do a small tutorial some day...

Great, it is very delicate, and some fractals (with low iteration counts I think) never get any effect...

Indeed. Like Specky, but more people use snazzy so i get less confuzed responses for it. Plus, using the same response all the time gets rather boring.
