Thanks cab1n, I was looking at your renders again, and yours is more light coming OUT than just glow, I envy that

How are you making your glow / fog? For mine it just paints all the intermediate points in the calculation for points that fail (ie are outside the set). It seemed a shame to waste them so that's where the idea came from. (just like Buddhabrot fractals). If I'm really patient I sometimes cast shadows onto the fog points as well.. but this takes forever (days) to render.
I'm not sure if that idea can be adapted in your programs.. but it might.

OK, interesting, I will pass this on to Subblue, who makes the script I am using, he might be able to implement that...
Subblue calls this "Shadow glow", guess it is some of the "faked" ambient occlution that glows, not sure...

OK, you are right about that, I could do it, but wanted some underwater darkness... in the next one maybe.

yeah! i'm curious about it
can you tell a little about some features it'll have?
Is there a checkbox to calculate the inverse mb or other lighting techniques?

No, sorry not yet, but I think Tom has that and a few other surprises up his sleeve, he want to add more features before he releases a new version.
One new feature I used for the "cactus" are that you can blend two different powers of the bulb.
