When I found out there was a tribute to Benoit Mandelbrot contest going on I just had to do something, so I did this...This is my entry to the "Manipulated fractal" category, even if it is rather "raw" I did some post work (fog/background) in Photoshop.
It is a hybrid mandelbox cut in half, so you can see the mandelbrot-set cut surface of the mandelbulbs within the box.

I love the basic mandelbulb form that you put on the top of temples it's very good!

Thank you Aldeas, I actually didn't put i there, this formula (mandelbox) contains the mandelbulb inside, what I did was "cutting it" at x=0 so it bacame visible as the mandelbrot set.
