I didn't see it coming! I wondered if I just missed the foreshadowing, but on a re-read of the series I still find it extremely subtle, more subtle than most of Jordan's hints.

Hm. yeah, it was subtle. I think i was expecting it though once i realized EVERY noteworthy character (on the goodguys side) was going to end up with somebody. then it was pretty obvious. Who else would either of them end up with? of course, i've been reading and rereading these since '94.

I won't say I was shocked to find out, but I did think it was a bit weird. This is great too, this is exactly how I pictured Thom in the books.

it was a bit abrupt. Maybe they're just too old for games. Besides the great game, of which they are both top notch players. glad you like the drawing.

Hey mandersen, you're damn good. Coloring this would be cool but sometimes the content, or nature, of an image is strong enough. I like it like this. Was anyone else caught completely off guard by the Thom and Moiraine love affair? Didn't see that coming.

maybe it's hindsight bias, but i feel like i totally saw it coming. a lot of people were blindsided by it though, so you're not alone.

Thanks. I guess a lot of people didn't see it coming. I had my suspicions for a while (the fact that he respected her when he hates Aes Sedai, for instance), but when we finally saw what was in his letter I was sure they'd end up together. So this was one of my most anticipated scenes from Towers.
