Maya Fey cosplay progress picture.Upon taking these pictures I realized that the bow on the sash is on the wrong side. I'd be fixing this up in a few minutes.
Without the wig, I suppose I could be acolyte Mia Fey instead...
Still need the wig, bracelets, and gold beads on the necklace.
You can't see it very well, but Phoenix's suit pieces are on the bed behind me. I'm working on all this for a skit for AFest this year in Dallas. It should be good if we get it all put together in time!

It's based on a kimono costume pattern.

So far i see you've done a great work! But, aren't the sandals a little more...higher?

Considering the sandals I got cost a grand total of 99cents, I'm not too concerned. If I can find more accurate ones I'll be picking them up, but it's always nice to have a cosplay with comfortable footwear.

I made the two bow loops as small pillows with stuffing inside. It's the only way I could make them look like the reference pics.
I'm just angry at myself for putting it on the wrong side!

I considered doing that but ended up not having time...guess I should really do so to make my outfit look better
And it does suck you put on the wrong side! But I did that a good few times too when first putting the outfit together. At least you'll be able to fix it, ne? It still looks awesome either way!! ^^
