WHEEE Ashelin! :0 In Jak II gear, even. This is...absolutely nothing like what it was originally in my head, but I definitely like this oodles and oodles more. <3 This was done mainly for the sake oooof:1) Trying out my new Christmas!markers to see how they do under colored pencil, andddd
2) messing with different color values 'n stuff. :B ie, putting some blue in her skin and reds in her blue leather and stuffs like that.
Cigarette was for the sole purpose of having a REASON for having a smoky dreary background behind her. xD Smoking is bad, kiddos! Anyways, I think I like her skin tones best...
(And when I was finally done with doing THOSE first, I didn't have all that much left to do! 8D Oh Ashe, your clothing choice comes in so handy sometimes.) I'm kinda iffy on how all the colors merge on the scan (why you so greeny yellow, blue jacket?! D< ) but whateveeer. ;3I'm actually very very pleased with how this came out, though, on an inking-design-whatever level.
Played around with EVERYTHING on this, colors and face shape and expressions and eye shape and yaaaay. <3 It was just so much fun ta do. 8D So sorry about taking more than a week to upload anything new - more shall be on its way, and I won't be puttering over the stuff with a "But if I do that I'll KEEEEL EEEEEEET~" obsessive nature. Hopefully.

"Jak 2"!Ashelin! *squeesqueesquee* Her face! Her eyes! Love the eyes. They're so perfectly blended. And the slantyness of her left eye is perfect. And (plz to prepare yourself for barrage of rambling, Krin needs sleep like yakkows need fur X.x) The colors look so... thick and full. Iunno how to describe it. But it prolly has something to do with the marker-pencil layers you did. Mmmyup. Yup.
The tilt of her eyebrows changes the whole thing. Someone else already mentioned that she doesn't look angry- nay, she looks Thoughtful. OMG Ashelin thinks?! That's not what big-chested women do! Little secrets all add up to big ones... I was thinking, maybe the secret is that she smokes. Butlike... there's really no point to that. The air pollution in Haven's bad enough, don'tchathink? XD
Anyhoo. I'll shut up soon. Great job. Yeah. I hope you get famous one day!! *crosses fingers for you* It's so exciting to see you doing something you love, and so well on it, too. I know you've been working on your style and art for years... yeahwow. Shutting up now ^_^

The mood in this drawing is perfect. I really like how Ashelin is all hunched up with the smoke behind her--it just looks so cool! I like the coloring too. It's so smooth looking and it really looks cool where you added the different color to her blue clothing.

Your coloring is ace. I mean, pure ace. I can't remember the last time I actually used black for shadows on my pictures, because doing that takes more time... the blending, then you have to go over it in a lighter hue, then darken it up a little, wash rinse repeat. I've just been a weakling by using markers and minimal pencil blending for the past month. X3 *snort* But now, this really makes me want to pull out the pencils again. Ah, yes...
Her anatomy is AWESOME. It's still Mandy-ish, but not so... cartoon'd. Or something. I dig the proportions and the posing. <33 And her BOOBS. How they're all scrunched up, and the folds look great. xD Ugh. Good stuff.
BUT BUT like I said before... her face is gorgeous. ;0; I love the red eye shadow; it works, but I'm still too afraid to try it. XD *clings2bloo&
And you COLORED the smoke. God knows I'm too scared to do that. @____X What's joor secret? Mega-blender usage? Extra soft shading? Or will it remained untold because you said so? XD; Even so, it's reaaaally awesome. The smoke makes the pic; Sets the shadows, the mood, the tones... everything. <3 I love it!
