Description Really creative title, I know. I'll upload the cutie mark separately in a few minutes.

Whelp. I finally have an OC. This guy here is supposed to be a ponysona of my artistic side; drawing and whatnot. I don't have a name for him yet, but then I've never really been good with names. I don't know what I'll do when/if I have kids. If anyone has any name suggestions just drop a comment.

EDIT: Finally, I have this in a larger size. I've been trying to figure out a way to change this for a while.

I'm thinking Ink Sketch, or something along those lines.

(unintentional pun)

He was made in the pony creator, but only because I'm terrible at designing. I cannot for the life of me make a mane that looks good on my own. I already knew what colors I wanted him to be, but couldn't figure out a solid design. I plan on doing more with him later though(right now I'm working on turning him into a necromorph for Dattebayo681 's comic.), this is just a base for future works.

I'll re-size the image as soon as I can. I've been trying, but the stroke in his mane isn't changing. I can't move or re-size that for some reason; it isn't locked and I'm selecting everything, but it moves with the rest and then jumps back to its original space and size as soon as I release the mouse button.

On a side note, why does the vector need to be so big? Is there a specific reason for that?

I'll keep these ideas in mind for a name. While Golden Graphite sounds good, it's not quite what I'm looking for. I may be able to use some of these for something else later.

Wether or not you're good at designing, you should know to never use the pony creator as a base for the body of the pony. That is, if you want a show-accurate result. And vectors need to be huge because they are vectors; they are known for not losing any quality if you resize them. But that's when they are in .SVG When you export them to .PNG you should remember to export them to something huge so that won't lose quality when you resize them.

The stroke isn't changing possibly because you converted the stroke to a path.

Well, I have a mane now, so using the ponycreator should never be a problem. When/if I do vector work in the future it's going to be from the show or my drawings.

So that's why! I've always wondered that.

I've thought up a few ways to fix that issue, but just found a few dozen other. Suffice it to say the increase in size will have to wait until I can finish what I'm doing now.

Also, because other people are using the pony creator, your mane & tail styles may not be exactly that original after all because it's seen on other people's ponies. And using pose bases from the show is differently a good idea.

I can always tweak and adapt things. I'm not totally digging the tail, but it was the best option for me at the time. I'll try to find good poses to vector when I have more time.

Good luck with that. Just keep one thing in mind to finding poses. Most of the pose bases you'll find are of mares and you need to bare in mind that your OC is a stallion. I do this when vectoring my OC.

Got it. I'll make sure to do that.

Well before I lay a name, I'm not sure if you noticed it yet, but  he looks as if he's from the pony creator. Which is not generally a good thing for original ponies in my opinion. And also, since this's a vector you should've made this much bigger. The minim resolution you should make is 3000x3000. I usually do my vectors at above 7k, but 3k is acceptable.

As for the name, I'll give you some words. I'm not sure if I know how to combine them though, perhaps you'd know better...

Paper

Ink

Graphite (pencil tips are made from this)

Golden

Lightweight

Feather

Here's the best I came up with: (Golden Graphite) Which essentially is a play with words because Graphite is black not golden.
