Hey All! After being sick and having a day job and all sorts of other stuff, here's something I finally painted this morning! I miss painting all the time. I'm going to try to do it more often now.I don't do white backgrounds a whole lot, so this was kind of interesting. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. What do you think?

The painting is really great Brendan, but I will say that the white doesn't...frame the focus well. I would say that the bottom left corner feels kind of empty with the white there, and there isn't enough of anything to focus away from it. All in all, it's very good, but I'd say add some more foliage to fill in the blank. C:

I definitely think the white background works here: it's a good contrast with the vivid colours in the foreground, and by using white you make sure that you're handsome okapi gets all the attention (s)he deserves. Wonderful piece of art!
