Description Due to Deviant Art not having the correct section to put this in. This is Mixed media with both digital and traditional elements
The bird was painted with Gouache, and the halo and drip was a mixture of both paint and scanned textures. Diamonds were done with photoshop.
Done for a concert poster submission.

Gouache is always good for doing realism I found, that way I can work back into it if I don't like it dries

Yeah I totally know what you mean. It's very forgiving. So far I haven't made anything good with it, but it's a lot of fun to work with.
