Description
Wash day.As the servants finish the day's laundry, the Ladies of the House gather to gossip.
The sign roughly translates as Road Crayon Maniac (I hope) as this is dedicated to my good friend Crayon Maniac.

Very nicer indeed.
I assume from the street lamp and sign that the setting is 19th century Italy rather than Ancient Rome.Β
If the setting was to be Ancient Rome the mistresses would probably not bother to accompany their slaves.Β Furthermore the slaves would probably be more scantily (and roughly) dressed and perhaps fitted with neck collars.

Ladies are too good with servants: they can keep servants topless or naked. A slave girl must learn very well her submissive status and nudity help them to remember every second her position in the society

Might be too cold there to be without clothes all the time, or perhaps the Master of the House doesn't want other men to see his property in all their glory. Interestingly, another render I did some time ago is exactly the opposite where the lesser status women wear clothes, and the higher status wore little or nothing. Its all a matter of perspective.

This is really what could be a scene from my unpublished book, as it is set in such a place, but you can make it ancient Greek or Roman. The street name itself is in Latin, so probably in a village set somewhere during the Roman Empire.

I think perhaps you have too much time! It took me nearly all day to look through those pictures and their artists, and what an incredible array of talent you've found! Well worth the time, and thanks for pulling them together. I see our tastes are very similiar, although I tend to comment more than I fave.

Too much time?? NOT - lol!! I'm lucky if I can squeeze in a new journal feature once every other week lately I used to do them weekly like clockwork, but I just can't keep up anymore
Too many notes to answer, too many cookies to distribute, and still try and squeeze in time to do the job they pay me for at the office - lol!

Well, I don't have the problem of too many notes or sending cookies, but there's never enough time is there?
