Just found out about this last night and wanted to pay tribute to one of the greatest minds in the known universe. Unfortunately, I have never drawn any of his characters before :\In loving memory, Joseph Barbera 1911 - 2006. Your creations have ignited the imagination of countless artists, and will last for generations to come. Thank you for all the memories. R.I.P.

**begin rant** Lemme just say one thing here: you dunno how hard it is to draw a character you have never drawn before in a sad expression when every single reference pic online is of them smiling, laughing, or just looking happy. I had to wrack my brain quite a while on that! **end of rant**

I think you captured their sadness very well. Even Jerry wipes Tom's tears away. Very touching.
To me, the world of Hanna-Barbera will never be the same without the two guys who started it all. RIP Bill and Joe, we'll miss you.

That sucked when I heard he died, this is more than enough to warrent a 'ruh roh raggy' from scooby.

It's always sad to lose an animation legend, and nearly all of them from the olden days are gone. At least now Barbera is reunited with Hanna in the skies.
