There's a really freakin' awesome fanfic ([link] )that's essentially this. I highly recommend you take a look at it. It has all the humor and wit of Calvin and Hobbes, has the action and adventure of Kingdom Hearts, and the heart and soul of both.
This is a really cool piece. I like the look of Calvin's keyblade, and the shading is really good too. I like the feel of it, and it's a nice reflection of how I feel when looking at the cover of the first Kingdom Hearts game and the last Calvin and Hobbes comic at the same time.

chapter one already is a little out of character. Calvin;s Dad is too cheap to fly and Calvin's parents would never leave him unsupervised on an island with other kids. lol

...LULZ! dear god i should have. but he wasn't that prominent in the series as Hobbes was. maybe i should draw Susie with Mr. Bun as her imaginary friend. she was just about as lonely as Calvin after all. behind that scholarly facade lies a fountain of insanity that needs to be tapped into!
