"Come horror or ill, I needed to be free." - Velvet Remedy, Fallout Equestria- - -
I was sketching in class the other day and I wanted to try drawing Velvet Remedy. I rarely tried drawing her before and that's cause her hair frightens me. All curly and fancy and styled, stuff I'm not good at it.
I think my fear was because I usually have the internet for reference pictures to see hair styles I cannot ever hope to draw, so I said "screw it" and tried drawing it without any references and just my own guestimations....and it turned out amazing! Added her medical packs and combat shotgun.
The shotgun got the same treatment as her hair, lots of artistic guessing based off what I remember from the Fallout 3 Combat shotgun. Add a legitimate mouth grip and fold stock, I could actually see a pony firing this without using magic!
With all that done I added color and in the end I'm really happy with the final result.

In Fallout Equestria during the war, Fluttershy ran the Ministry of Peace and sought to aid all ponies in danger. Her cutie mark became the symbol of medicine.

Very nice! I don't see a lot of Velvet Remedy art, Littlepip and Calamity seem to get most of the fan love -which I'm totally okay with- but it's nice to see the team medic every once in a while.
I really like her mane, tail, and medical boxes, you did a great job with them. The colors and curls are especially nice. I also like how you added a bit of a ruffle to her fur, it looks really nice.
Only criticism that I can really give is that her front legs seem a bit long, not horribly so, but it's noticeable.
All in all, it's very nice and far better than what I could do, lol. The shotgun's pretty nicely done too, I haven't seen a lot of art that includes ponyfied weapons.

Thanks, originally it was a traditional human styled shotgun but it looked weird in comparison with the pony so I tried something different.
And looking back I think I see what you're saying about the legs, I'll have to keep stuff like that in mind. Anyway thanks, glad you like the pic ^^
