Because Sombra is best evil pony king. I wanted to try drawing a scene I could see of him before he was banished into a shadow. Specifically I imagined him using slaves to carry his stuff around while he traveled, such as a standard icon and a ceremonial sword, both sort of based off his crown design.

Anyway I'm really happy with how this came out, I think it's a shame people hated how little of him was shown in the new episode and therefore he's a bad villian....um...guys, we have volumes of fanart and fanfics for background characters! In other words, Hasbro gave us a nearly blank slate villain, let's start seeing some grimdark!
