It sucks more when you're the only one in a certain area and there are 3 eggs but you can only pick up one.

I honestly don't have a problem with that, if there are a bunch of eggs and no one is there, odds are the rest of your team is also grabbing eggs at an other end of the map, or there may be too many bosses showing up on the map and they're having trouble. I really wish there was an easily accessible voice chat to help with communication in that mode.
