You may be asking yourself this as you look through my more recent uploads. And so, I thought I should explain things a little.

What is a Jack?
a) An opportunistic, shape changing predator that has adapted to live among earth's dominant species undetected.
b) A hardy, ambidexterous and flexible creature that can move up to 40mph in short bursts.
c) A warm blooded mammilian relative that has scent glands on its tongue more sensitive than those of a bloodhound.
d) The embodiment of Nat and I's monster fetish.
e) All of the above...

A "Jack" is actually a male of the species commonly referred to in folklore as a "Jolly Walker" or "Jolly Jack" because of the eerie 'smile' their natural form has. Females are referred to as jills, janes and, most commonly, does. Since they are rare, they are unclassifiable and have been given the simple latin name "Homo Protei" due to the misconception that because they appear humanoid they are related to humans. That said, you will not find anything about them in any book on biology or natural history. They are considered by most of the human race to be just another mythological creature.

Though they have as a species absorbed an enormous amount of traits from the race they mimic, there are numerous physical and behavioral differences. They live a lot longer, roughly 400 years though some have been known to live as long as 500. They are roughly as intelligent as humans are, but not nearly as widespread and adaptable. They can assume a roughly human form, though the trained eye can pick out the differences with study. Their tongue is dual pronged, fully prehensile and covered in scent receptors so sensitive that one of them can pick up the scent of another ten miles off with a good breeze. They can taste disease, decay and most poisons on the air before it ever comes into contact with them.

They are intensely sexual. Much of their social interacting is asserting dominance over one another or flirting/courting. Females become quickly accustomed to the ridiculous amounts of attention they get from the opposite sex. In their culture, it is completely acceptable for a jack to immediately start flirting with a jill regardless of the occasion. Especially now a days, with Jacks being a fair bit more numerous than Jills. Homosexuality is often a necessity for not only relief, but for keeping the peace. Jill's have an estrus instead of a menstrual cycle, and come into season in winter and spring. The marker they release when in heat can be diluted to a fraction of its original strength and still draw every male within a several mile radius.

They like to burrow, but their tentacles are well suited for multiple tasks such as climbing, grabbing, holding. As they age they develop a ridge-like mane down their back. Their prehensile tongue is often used to pierce the brain stem through the back of their prey's throat.

This particular fellow is Hixnu (Hizh-noo). Doesn't he look friendly? Thats obviously his sexy face.
