From a few months back to now. Elekid is adorable. Have some for-fun development writing ganked from my Tumblr:

The stark yellow and black colouration exemplified by the Electabuzz family is recognised amongst other Pokemon as a warning pattern. This is supported by the species' aggressive and competitive nature. Electabuzz and its related forms are classified as Industrial Pokemon, and thus are not permitted for casual ownership under law. Individuals who wish to train an Electabuzz must attain permissions for trainership via a three- [adult] or four-stage [baby] application form, non-procreativity agreement form, and take a compatibility course to assure the applying trainer has the skills required to properly maintain the Pokemon.

Elekid are very energetic Pokemon, being very demanding and exacting on their trainer's time. Happy Elekid express their affection by emitting buzzing noises and "love bluffing", holding their arms in the air and puffing out their fur. This should not be confused with aggressive bluffing, wherein the Pokemon takes this same stance but stands on the balls of its feet and releases static electricity while shrieking. Elekid are known to aggressively bluff towards unfamiliar people or Pokemon that approach their trainers, perceiving them as competition or a threat. It is recommended that owners take special care to introduce Elekid to any new Pokemon or people that may enter the home to prevent such behaviour.

Elekid are very playful and have considerable energy to expend, often exceeding that of their owners, and as such are best suited for very experienced trainers. Elekid who are not engaged in play with their trainers may become destructive. For this reason it is important that trainers keep a variety of toys with which to entertain and stimulate the baby Pokemon. It is advised that any toys given to an Elekid be made of rubber or similarly non-conductive and non-combustable material for safety.
