Goddamn, I loved doing this commission. I've lived in houses like that - my teens were spent hanging out in sheds, listening to my neighbours' noisy garage punk band. The Sex Pistols, the Ramones, the Living End, the New York Dolls, The Clash, The Buzzcocks, Iggy and the Stooges - that was the music that dug its fingers into my formative clay and squeezed. I could put a lot of feeling and experience into this piece, and I hope it comes out.
