A WIP. As I finish more ladies, more will be added.It comes to my attention that I've been spending the past year or so drawing dudes. My frontpage looks like a sausagefest. And, as much as I love men, them lovely ladies are a big part of the comics industry. I really need to work on drawing feminine girls - big girls, skinny girls, athletic girls, shy girls, sensual girls, geeky girls, magical girls. Anything I can get.
Some of the girls that will turn up here are OCs. Some are from licensed comic francises. Some are designed based on concepts from [link] . They're practice, essentially, and if you like what you see, then drop me a note and I shall draw ladies for you.

I must say for someone who is used to drawing just men you have a wonderful sense of the female form. Don't be so down on yourself because I feel like you understand the womanly figure better than the male. To give an example I get a very "round" and smooth feel from your work. And on your male pieces this does work ( because some male muscle structures are full of rounded muscle), however don't be afraid to draw harsher more angular anatomy for your boys. There are many sinewy muscle builds and at times they look like stark angular shapes.
With that said lets get back to this picture.
As I said I think you've got a wonderful grasp of the female form. The lady on the far right is probably my favorite and I can see no fault in her other than maybe adding a dimple in her left knee to emphasize that it is in a locked position. Other than that she looks wonderful (hellz yah for belly girls!)
As for the others I think they look great, but for Wonder Woman I feel her head is too large compared to her body. And to get extra picky about the Amazon clay princess, her body structure is far to lithe and petite. She is, after all, a Amazon and can see eye to eye with Batman and Superman. So I think you could get into a more body builder shape for her and explore the extreme side of muscular women and how they look. Other than that, those are my two cents. Good job!

thanks! I've been very conscious of my ladies being rather masculine, so i've been working on developing different body types. While working on Pax, some of the masculinity has crept back in there, but it's hard to find a femmy Punk girl. I hope you like her!

Pax is okay to be a bit masculine.
I noticed the masculinity chiefly in the facial structure, the build of noses, the set of a jaw, etc. While many women still have those strong features ("handsome" women, primarily), it's good to see that you can do "pretty" and softer as well.
A lot of the fun in watching you has come from being able to see your progress, and to see something so telling makes it even more fun!

there needs to be more chubby, pretty girls in comics. The big boobs and curvy legs are a physical impossibility without a bit of extraneous bodyfat elsewhere.

The problem is that comic book women are all the little bits of women people find "attractive" lumped into one disgusting human being. Like long skinny legs are A+ but then add in huge titties and a porn star face and you get liefield. Same goes for the super dudes eugh, so gross.
Or you can go the other way and be like that dude who draws anus lips and HUGE women.
