Hi there!
i'm about to run a page in facebook about expanding consciousness and seing the world in new ways.
The thing is i'm browsing images here in DA that can fit as profile image, i'm asking your permision then to use it, probably temporarily and putting a link to your credit of course.

I really like your blog on this. I mean the self portraits on DA often contain a lot of thought and effort. But you sometimes have o question how much of an actual self-portrait it is. Seeing as the photographer still controls the "story" of the photo. How much of it is really them and how much of it is a falsity or a sliver of what is really going on. We often don't show are real nature to strangers.
That being said, this is a very well executed photograph, the concept, the colors and the lighting (Is it natural?). I like that it has a greenish hue to it. Gives it a dirty feel. Kinda like they were hiding behind a pristine veil and now they are exposing themselves to a harsh reality. There being a black bandanna could be symbolic it itself. Perhaps I am reading too much into it.
I only have one criticism, I always feel the need to try and constructive criticism. The background seems to blend with skin, the tones are too similar. Maybe if it was a darker shade or had more texture. But in all honesty it doesn't really detract from the image at all.

First, my thoughts with this picture together with the blog are to make people think, ask questions and look around more. I hope it carries the message.
"We often don't show our real nature to strangers" - I'm really glad that You think this way and I even don't start to prove the feelings or true nature of this picture, because I would ruin peoples own thoughts. And the "Dirty feel - harsh reality" idea is pretty much what's it all about. There's so much more in beautiful than just beauty. You just have to "open your eyes".
