(just a short oneshot story I made up for the picture)

Roaring thunder echoed and cracked as the two god tiers valiantly fought side by side. Jack Noir skillfully lashed out his blade in a fury of rage. The two underlings have pushed his patience over the edge. It was time to end this feud once and for all. Karkat swiftly blocked Noirs attack with his sickles, but just barely.

A fine gash had been sliced into his shoulder and it began to seep blood, the color of candy red. With a furrowed brow, Karkat unleashed a mighty roar as he bull-rushed Noir, sending him flailing backwards into deep space. Turning to John, he kept a hand tightly sealed around his wound.

He was a freak, and Egbert was the last person he wanted to let know this information. Karkat barely had time to lash his head around as he saw Jack Noir hightail and impale John with his sword from behind. Wide-eyed, the troll watched with horror as Egbert threw up blood, the same candy red hue as his own. Dropping his sickles he watched John drift down, his life slowly fading away before his very eyes. They had both been red inside the whole time. The troll wept, for the loss of his matespirit and also for knowing that he was not alone.
