So the lovely ReQuay bought my YHH and decided to make it a gift for her good friend emmy1320 of her absolutely beautiful horse, Maitresse d'or . Emmy has been going through quite a bit of drama lately, so hopefully this will cheer her up a bit! So delighted that I was given the chance to draw this mare, as she's actually the horse that finally made me want my own Nordanner! I hope both of you lovelies enjoy it, and I hope I did Goldy justice!

I DID IT BY CAUSING MY WRIST SO MUCH PAIN. 
but seriously i still dont know how i lived through doing that mane and tail xD As for the sun effect, just use a light yellow colour and set it to "luminosity" and BAM! Sunshine!

This is so unbelievably beautiful! I just absolutely love how it turned out! I just want to keep staring at it over and over... the beautiful pose, the amazing anatomy, the beautiful cell-shading and highlighting, the brilliant background, and dat hair! THANK YOU so much for an incredible commission piece - I know that emmy1320 will love it -- I definitely do!
I can not claim to be good friends with her (just yet - hopefully), but found her amazing Faime breed and have had the wonderful opportunity to catch some of her jm's... and been so impressed with her friendliness, welcoming and helpful attitude, and not to mention her gorgeous artwork. So when you posted your YHH, at the same time that there was some less-than-desirable drama happening, I just thought "why can't there be random acts of kindness here... to counteract/balance out the other stuff people have to deal with?" I want dA to be a place where people enjoy coming to, as a break from our stressful RL's, and find wonderful acts of art/gifts -- and really, your art is so stunning it was just the perfect thing!
I absolutely love what you've done with Goldy - thank you so much for such a gorgeous piece of art of her!
And just know, any time you need another commission like this for some savings - I've got tons of my own horses I'd love to see in your style!

Everything I said was true - you have been so wonderful and welcoming and I have adored your art. You deserve all of the compliments. And being able to share an art gift (especially one by someone as talented as Loudish) was the very least I could do. Like I said, I want this to be a place where we can all log in and look forward to fun gifts and enjoying other peoples stunning artwork (and save the drama for RL - Lord knows there's enough of it there). And I am glad that you think of me as a good friend - and we have plenty of time to get to know each other better (especially because I love your art and your Faime breed and will be stalking watching all of it with eager anticipation
