I can't believe I spent ALL DAY making this xD I been meaning to make a Sonic Mania picture for a while, but after the Recent updates for the game and playing Encore Mode, they updated the Boss fight with Metal Sonic in Stardust Speedway Zone Act 2. Originally the 2nd Phase was racing/fighting Metal Sonic while chased by a wall of Spikes... But the creators came up with a new surprise...!

Stardust Speedway was always my favourite Zone on Sonic CD and I was thrilled about it appearing on Sonic Mania! The Whole Zone looked awesome with its rockstar concert theme and and the loopy, zipping tracks with trumpet themed tracks etc and I love the music! Act 1 set in the Past and Act 2 set in the Present! But on Encore Mode with its new colour Palettes, Act 2 was made to look like the Bad Future which is what I went for here.

As Sonic runs with trails of stars and spikes he encounters his deadliest rival once again: Metal Sonic. Metal has come back for another round to prove which of them is the True Sonic. After a quick race, Metal operates a huge machine dispatching Robot Sonics and firing Energy orbs. After this nuisance, Phase 2 begins, Eggman is awaiting Sonic and Metal Sonic and passes the Phantom Ruby to Metal Sonic for one last chance at Beating Sonic the Hedgehog once and for all... Merged with the powers of the Phantom Ruby, Metal Sonic has become a monstrosity with Titanic proportions and its Chasing Sonic, Destroying the roads, firing Bombs and huge Laser charged by the Phantom Ruby! Sonic must work fast to take his Rival down once more!!!

The Boss fight here is a mix of the final bosses from Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Knuckles Chaotix for the 32X
