hehehe, so this is the end of a mini chapter! And Kaede meets.......uh......I actually don't have a name for him. maybe I'll extend it a bit. or maybe just hop into the next chapter whee they meet a not so friendly leviathon who just might kinda eat them? oh gosh, I am just not a story writer. its pitiful. so if anyone has ideas they'd like to throw out, I'd more than welcome it.oh yeah! Did the ending make sense to everyone???

Oh my goodness! I love this comic so much, you have done a wonderful job with it. As for story ideas...hmm. Well, the romantic in me would love it if Kaede somehow saves the prince (who is her same age, perhaps from a non mer-shark after he sneaks out of the palace to get away from his tutors) and then they become best friends, secretly of course or the royal family would have a fit. And then a huge catastrophe happens when they are older and Kaede helps save Atlantis, thus making her a hero and forcing the sirens to sing for her. Plus maybe a splash of budding romance in the end

Love it! maybe he's a senator's son,( or some high ranking official/court judge's guppy) and sneaks out to play spikeball and the little gang kaede ends up playing with comes across him. The whole group becomes super tight over the years (throw in some monster chases? some exploring to the upper surfaces (ooo, and then i could stick in some environmental issues and human stuff!)), and then maybe kaede gets orphaned or something but then she'll have to either steal from the markets or hunt fish (which may or maynot be illegal within city limits) but basically gets in trouble with the law and it'll be a huge surprise when-! AAAh! I love you guys, hopefully the continuation of this comic turns out as good as these suggestions

What type of animal is he? This is great! Super cute and beautifully drawn. Is there any part of society that likes sharks? Like athletics? I would guess (as far as character development) that the main character grows up to be a tomboy and have a harder shell around the bullying and rejection she gets from others. She's probably not the ideal beauty so a lot of guys stay away from her and she's too rough for the girls. Β While that makes her number of friends small, she doesn't mind too much. She probably has a big hobby, like collecting rocks or making cool jewelry or she maybe has a rock band?
I don't know if you want a conflict or have one in mind, but I would stay away from a transformation into femininity (like makeup, hair, seductive clothes) to be accepted by society and getting a guy. Β I say that because my feminist side would come out and be upset that you took that route. Β You can do whatever you want though, and I'll try not to comment about it (never been a huge fan of negative criticism).

I was thinking sharks are kept out of most mainstream society cuz of some bloody incident(s?) in the past (marauding, pillaging, under water pirating along major trade currents, maybe a massacre or two..etc). so if they aren't just regular old fish hunters (other mermaids still aren't very happy about that either, though part of it is also just long seated resentment...which isn't totally unfounded either), then they are (traditionally) mercenaries, soldiers for hire, assassins (though that stopped cuz the when their numbers decreased and mostly drew out of society a lone shark was too conspicuous) and.....not so good stuff. but they would totally rock the athletics department! (hehe, makos are the world's fastest sharks). I am so glad you like the story so far, and I totally agree! The idea for the story started out as a drawing of a kick butt moody she-shark mercenary....ok, so i don't really remember how it ended up with this story, but don't worry! I won't let your feminist side down! But if I do, don't be afraid to comment! I like any feedback, good or bad!Β
i really like the idea of her having a big hobby, Im toying with the idea of some underwater sport or maybe like collecting stuff from sunken ships, except it feels too Ariel-esque. Maybe exploring the deeps where all the other non-shark peeps are too afraid to go.Β
