This is such an awesome pose oh my gosh XD
I noticed this photo has a "canine" tag though hyenas aren't canines? o:

They are in a class all of their own, but have traits of both canines and felines. Though most people consider them to be canine, so I put the canine tag in hopes of catching more views.

Although in evolutionary biology they are closer to felines and viverrids, hyenas are behaviourally and in Morphology ( the outward appearance, as well as the form and structure of the internal parts like bones and organs,) more similar to canines

Though that is true, they're still not canines you know?
Hyenas have their own family. I almost find it unfair to just plop them with "canines" just because of some outward similarities.

No indeed they're still not canines, they have indeed their own family Hyaenidae
Yeah, I understand it, they should be more standalone. But we humans have a tendency to create paterns and just put things in boxes.. o: (figuratively) (but sadly also litterally)
