The male Harpy was at the other side of the enclosure, chirping and calling to the female....and this is the look she was giving him.Honestly? I think he was trying some various pick-up lines on her and she was unimpressed.

Best photo I have seen. Spent a month in Panama hoping to catch a look at a Harpy Eagle. Since it is the National Bird I expected some great photos, carvings, paintings or something. But no, I had to come home and just happen to find yours. Thank you for a wonderful photo. Ginger

Yeah, I've heard they're pretty difficult to spot in the wild, so that doesn't surprise me. Sucks all the same though!
Glad that my photo make a pleasant enough substitute. These are my absolute favorite birds of prey.
