Description
Photo reference - Naomi Watts, necklace - eBay.comText -
Took me about 10 days of work (on and off) to finish - I'm busy, busy, busy.
Finally I'm happy with the hair. I think I've found the right technique, I only need to improve it.
I've colored the image a bit, since the original was b/w and my last work was also a grayscale...
Comments and favs are appreciated!
Sorry for the watermark, but I'm sick of thiefs.

your vector skills are simply awesome, i have become really fond of vector but i have only really been usinng illustrator properly for a few months, i love the smoothness of your vector, you must have 1000's of layers!! i bet it took you ages to keep them all in the right order, i know that can become very frustrating! the piece is beautiful it looks so real, you hvae really mastered this one
your tonal shapes are spot on and they really give her a 3d look . i have tried to draw less detailed vectors but i seem to get fed up and not draw in many shapes of tone. it looks really crap compared to yours :Lmao: i really think that you should get a job as a graphic designer, have you considered working from home??? that you could work for a company overseas who doesnt mind about age im sure if you sent some of you 'portfolio' to some random companies you will get some very positive feedbback. like i said your potential shows

Amazing! I have no words! Wow!
You master vectors in a way I could only dream to!
May I please ask what tools did you use for this one?
Maybe some tips?

Thank you so much!
I use pen tool (in Photoshop or Illustrator as well) to create clean color blocks. Sometimes I use gradients - on this one i used gradiets to make jewellery and to make her lower part of the body darker than the upper.
Tips? Patience, lots of it.

I had no idea that she was from England. She pulls off an American accent brilliantly, like it was her job. @__@ Not like it's hard though...we have the driest, blandest accents...lol

Yes, it is..
Can I ask, do you have a job in the digital arts?
Because I know people who would pay with one of their limbs to have a vector like that done
You realise that you can print that at any size which is printable?

manitu In reply to Cetanu12 [2006-02-25 22:59:53 +0000 UTC]
I've been looking for a job as a graphic designer for the last 6 months, but it's not so easy here, in Poland ("you have to be 20 years old and have 15 years of experience" as they say , and I'm a beginner ). So no, I don't have a job like that.
It's still only my hobby.
And yes, I know vectors are resizable.
