I recently re-discovered this show, too. I started drawing Snufkin, and decided I wanted to find out how his name was spelled, so I started looking stuff up. I ended up becoming obsessed with the Moomins again. lol! ^_^
You're right, too. For a kids show, it was kinda creepy. The one with the fortune teller REALLY creeped me out at the beginning. Probably b/c I didn't understand what they were saying. lol!

My favourite fandom ever! And Snufkin is my favourite character 
It's worth it, though... The books and illustrations (and to some extent the shows), it's great art, and I'm sad so few people know about it ;_ ;

I remember the first episode with the Groke from my childhood.
"She appears to have left"
*Icy footprints seen through the window*
"I'll go out onto the porch to check"
*Camera shows nothing outside*
*Pans to the right and the left*
"Nothing"
*Angle switches to side of the porch*
*THE GROKE IS STANDING TO THE SIDE OF THE PORCH!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111*
They should have put the music from the Psycho shower scene in there for full effect. Wonder how many kids got scarred for life?

I never understood why Moomin was allowed to sleep with Snorkmaiden in the same bed but moomin mama and moomin papa never did. O_o

I bought her a notebook for Christmas where moomin is depressed and tries to drown himself. It made me laugh how even though he's naked all the time he still put on swimming trunks when he tried to drown himself XD

it was in the books. Fucking creepy man.
The lion had a tophat and things vanished into it. I think he kidnapped someone and then sucked up the land in it or something.
