Grunkle Stan from Gravity Falls in the season 2 episode where zombies wreck havoc on the Mystery Shack!
So recently my friend Gamma-Wings got me interested in this show and I binged it last week.
It was so good! And so epic! I loved it to bits and I love the characters and stories.
A brilliant show by Alex Hirsch.
Stan quickly became a fave of mine, along with Dipper and later Ford and Bill as well. Although I can't say there's a character I didn't like. They all had their own story and development. It comes together in such a good way, sometimes unexpected too.
This is only one of fanarts I will do
This episode is one of my faves for a couple of reasons, including the way they defeated the zombies in the end was just the best xD trying to avoid posting spoilers here :'D
This is probably how the scene would have gone if it wasn't a Disney show and they could be as savage and brutal as they wanted. I'm still amazed they let Stan have brass knuckles, but couldn't let the characters play spin the bottle lmao AMONG OTHER THINGSSSS
If you haven't watched GF or are interested, I definitely recommend, 11/10 would travel through dimensions again

Starting to really enjoy cell-shading. It definitely gives my art a different look but I like it. I haven't quite finished an animal piece with this kind of shading yet tho. So it's yet to be tested.
Other than that, a low blurry background with a zombie and like 10 luminosity layers lmao I love me the shinnies xD

You did an amazing job with cell shading as they show quite well the seriousness of situation. I love these cold and warm colours put together to create a really badass effect, a badass effect that reflects his badass nature. Yes i really love Stan, one of my favourite GF character. Congratulations friend, you aced!

the fact that you drew him in your style but still keeping the Grunkle Stan look is just amazing. like you can tell it's your style but at the same time it's still that Gravity Falls style but I can't explain things right so whoops

I am really impressed by the way you drew Grunkle Stan here, as, well asher put it pretty well, he is a total badass. As a character he is just plain funny and quite likable for a Hack. Maybe because he is such a charming one, and one who certainly got a lot to himself in personality and strength. And good lord, the shading you applied here is just so godly, it kind of makes Bill Cipher blush. Seriously, your work on shaders is only describable in extremes and superlatives.
And the image of the zombie also is pretty creepy. The blood, the good, it is all dripping so freshly from this rotten corpse. It is dreadful, but can it stand against Stan? Nope, not really, it will be smacked into pieces.

I'm really putting work into rougher shading. I find that it suits my art better as well since I'm going more into styled than just realism. I'm glad it looks good! I have a ways to go still, but hopefully with a lot of work the skill will come naturally soon enough. A blushing Bill Cipher, now that's an obscure expression for him xD
Stan has so many layers about him. He first seems like a typical grumpy old man, but when you get further into the show he really blossoms. Definitely one of my faves. Perhaps the best episode form the series (according to IMDB) revolves around Stan and it was truly epic!
A freshly risen zombie. Probably would have been better to use a reference, but eh the focus is not on the BG. Still nice to see it blend it well. Won't last long with Grunkle on the scene xD

Holy mother of god this one is really amazing! I love how you made Grunkle Stan in such a badass look. He is surely a badass in that particular episode where he fought those zombies. This one is really well drawn and I love the details! Those zombie scars and blood makes him even more badass.

bring some finished arts, I've decided to only upload bigger artwork here rather than sketches... stuff like flat colored headshots and sketches will be uploaded rarely and in batches, while they go out every day/every other day on instagram~ I think you should do the same, it kinda helps to keep the gallery nice and clean for possible clients and also encourages people to go follow insta :'D

Aaaaahhh whoa this turned out so badass! I love it! I'm so glad I managed to introduce you this show, as it is pure genius and it deserves all the love.
This fan art is great, I'm loving all the gore as it looks quite realistic and you can totally tell he was in one heck of a fight. I do agree with you that this ep was pretty awesome. I really love the lighting, it adds to the epicness! The zombie in the background was a nice touch. Stan definitely was an awesome character, I like him too. I look forward to future fan arts.
