well, yes it is. now, this'll sound pretentious, but with my paintings the infintessimal details are what makes it. In these ones, I have ultimate control but the paint's reaction with the bleaches/cleaning products and woodstains are purely down to happenstance. this tends not to be illustrated on the shots taken.

Oh, I wasn't referring to the quality of the painting itself! It's fantastic--I was referring to the photo taken of it. It's covered in JPG artifacts :/ and weird colors produced by the camera and low lighting. The painting is more than beautiful

Looks like it should be part of a longer piece, like the edges join up with something else, like a snapshot of a transition.

the textures are great, nice use of creativity in the application of the piece.
the painting has a very earthy feel. It has nice balance and composition with the focal point being the streak across the center of the canvas.
this painting reminds me of an explosion, it has lots of energy, which is due to the great textures.
